Job Title: Psychiatrist

Location: Aurora Mental Health and Wellness, Waite Park, MN

Position Type: Full-time, Part-time, casual

About Us: Aurora Mental Health and Wellness is a comprehensive mental health care facility dedicated to providing exceptional services to individuals and families in Waite Park, Minnesota. Our mission is to promote mental well-being through compassionate, evidence-based care. We specialize in a variety of treatments, including innovative therapies such as ketamine therapy and Spravato (esketamine) treatments. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals.

Job Summary: The Psychiatrist will provide clinical services to patients with a range of mental health conditions, including those requiring specialized treatments like ketamine therapy and Spravato. This includes performing psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and offering therapeutic services. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to mental health care, a collaborative approach to patient care, and experience or interest in administering advanced treatment modalities.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients of all ages.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
  • Administer and oversee ketamine therapy and Spravato (esketamine) treatments.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling services as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including anesthetists, nurse practitioners, licensed therapists and other mental health professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and continuing education activities.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Stay current with developments in psychiatry, including new treatments and therapies, and integrate new knowledge into practice.
Qualifications:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Minnesota.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
  • Experience with or interest in ketamine therapy and Spravato treatments.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric principles, practices, and medications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary team on a part-time basis.

Job Summary: The Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) will provide nursing care to patients with mental health conditions, including those undergoing specialized treatments like ketamine therapy and Spravato. This role involves collaborating with the psychiatric team to develop and implement patient care plans, administering medications, and providing therapeutic support. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to mental health care and excellent clinical skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ mental health status.
